One Month!

Guess what?!?! its the 25th of April and that means one month till I'm due! This is so exciting! Hopefully she comes a little earlier so that i don't have to be miserable for another month! lol!

There has been some exciting news for mike and I in the last week!

First of all.... we officially decided that I am not going to back to Wells Fargo after I have Maeli. I have been so excited that I get to stay home with our little girl! So I told my boss yesterday that I am not going to be coming back! I also found out that Wells Fargo will still pay me my maternity leave even if i quit before i come back! So God has seriously answered some prayers with this one. Mike and I would have been without any income for a little over two months because mike has clinical for 8 weeks before he can get a job! so this is a huge blessing for us to still have some income for 6 of the 8 weeks!

Second..... I have returned to school! Its not a real school, but school none the less! I signed up for a Medical Transcription program through an online school and I will be done with that HOPEFULLY in about 4 months! I have already started and have been trying to get as ahead as I can so I wont get too behind when Maeli comes! I'm super excited to get this done because that means that I can work from home with Maeli and make pretty good money!

Third.... Maeli did flip last week! it was just a few days before her doc appointment and she decided to keep me up all night and cause me lots of pain by turning completely around! but it is a good thing since now i dont have to schedule a c-section! So now i just have to wait till she want to some out.

Lastly.... Mike and I have finished out Childbirth class! This was so much fun for us to go to! we got to spend a few hours a week learning a little more about what the whole childbirth process is gonna be like. it was great for mike too cuz he had no idea how dramatic this process was! lol! But we are done now and i am So ready for little Maeli to come!

So other than those exciting little bits of news... We have just been enjoying the great weather and trying to be patient while we wait for little Maeli! Hopefully i will have some good new soon for you all that there is a new little Rankin in the world!

Just Waiting

I was so excited to be able to tell someone the other day that i was going to have my little girl NEXT MONTH!!! Since it is officially april now.... i can say that! well i have 49 days left till my due date and i have been getting more and more excited every day! Im getting pretty sick of being huge and not being able to sleep! and i gonna be glad when she isnt kicking me all of the time :) lol! Nah im sure that i will miss that part a lot!!!

At my doctor appointment on friday, she said that Maeli was still breech so we will be doing another ultrasound in two weeks to see if she has moved. If she hasnt moved in two weeks then my doctor wants me to plan a c-section. So that has been something that we are looking forward to at our next doctors apointment....getting to see little Maeli again! In some ways i wouldnt mind a c-sections because then i would get to plan it for a weekend when mike could be there, have her a little early and get paid two more weeks of maternity leave! lol! But i would be bummed not getting to go through the whole birthing process for sure! We will just have to wait and see what this stubborn little girl does!

So I have a few updates to the nursery that i am way excited about! At my baby shower i got a beautiful board that has Maeli's name on it that we put on her door! its super cute! also i got a saying made for the back of her crib that looks so adorable! Then my Grandma Marvin, who Maeli is named after, my aunt Heidi and aunt Michelle got me a new rocker glider for the nursery! I love this thing! it matches my crib so beautifully and its gonna be so nice to be able to use late at night! i will for sure be sleeping in it! lol! We also got Maeli's cradle that my dad made me set up in our room and it looks so cute in there! The crib sheets that my mom bought for it and the blanket that her aunt Brittany made matched perfectly so we are using those blankets for her cradle! Its all comming together and we just are getting so excited to bring out little girl home in a month and a half!

Mike and I got to take the last car ride home before little Maeli comes! We left for Ontario on Friday night after work and then bright and early Saturday morning we went to Vale for my baby shower! We got to play tons of fun games and we all laughed way too hard! There was at least 25 ladies here after they all showed up! it was so great to see them all but it was CRAZY!! Mike and the boys went to town to play tennis but came back a little before it was over. Bryce was in the computer room on facebook and when i got on later he had that comment on his status....my mom and i laughed pretty hard! It was pretty loud, very crazy and i got tons of little girl clothes! my favorite present was my dads cradle that he made for me! it is so beautiful!!! We are heading back home tomorrow and im a little sad to leave my family again! But the good part is that i have lots of new baby stuff and im more than ready for Maeli to come!!

New Hair Cut!!!!

I have had my hair long for quite a while now and i was getting pretty sick of it! So yesterday when mike was at work, and Heather was here visiting, I went and got all my hair chopped off! it feels great and I love having it short again! Mike has been bugging me to cut if off because he loved it short and that was how we met. So i surprised him with a cute new hair cut and took him out for dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and a movie! We had a super fun date!!!! Here are some pics of the new hair!!!!

Getting Ready!!

I am now 29 1/2 week into my pregnancy! I cant even believe how fast it has been going! Maeli is growing so fast and getting so big! You can see pretty much every move that she makes now and it is so much fun for Mike and I to sit and feel her and talk to her! I have had a few miserable days when my sciatica nerve was acting up and my knees would buckle! That pretty much puts me out for the rest of the day because my butt will ache so bad that i cant move at all! Other than that I have been nesting really bad! On Tuesday I started my spring deep cleaning! I cleaned out closets and drawers and pretty much cleaned between every crack in my apartment! it felt great! Along with getting the house nice and clean, i have been getting Maeli's room ready! Its been so much fun finding her clothes and getting her room all cute and decorated! I also took up knitting just as something to do in my spare time when mike is in class or at work! its actually been a lot of fun! I was about 3/4 of the way done with a blanket for Maeli when i started on another one for my friend who is having a little boy the end of the month! Not a whole lot has been going on other than that! just trying not to annoy mike too much with my need to prepare! We are getting so excited for Maeli to come!!!!! only 81 days left!

1. I hate the cold! snow makes me crabby and i will do anything to avoid going outside into the cold. Mike hates it when i turn the heat on though!



2. My mom is pretty much the best friend i have ever had. I love to talk to her on the phone and i cry when i miss her!



3. I recently took up knitting because i was bored! i already knew how to crochet so i thought it would be a challenge! im knitting a baby blanket for Maeli and i already have the yarn picked out for Elai's blanket



4. Im a movie junky! i love to watch movies!



5. Ham used to be my most favorite thing in the world...till i got prego and it made me sick one time and now i will never eat it again! Sad i know!!!



6. i was born in Germany! i would love to go back someday with Mike!!! i mean i WILL go back someday with Mike!



7. I have a pain phobia. I pretty much avoid it in any way that i can. Needles used to make me have a panic attack, im still overcoming that one. Never broke a bone or anything though



8. I love to sing very horribly when im in the car with my little brother Bryce. We have so much fun singing like toneless retards! sad part is that we both can sing quite well! its just more fun to sing very very bad!!!!



9. My sister and i have a Christmas eve tradition of bedtime ballet! we turn on the nutcracker and do ballet moves while laying in bed together!!



10. Im EXTREMELY stubborn! I know what i want and i will get it gosh darnet!!!! i think i get that from my dad!!! LOVE YOU DADDY!!



11. My husband is amazing!!! he pushes me to be a little better every day! and tries to make me not so stubborn! lol



12. I love hot baths and showers. They can never be too hot



13. I have two nieces and one nephew! I love their guts and i think they are the cutest things in the world!



14. Im way too emotional. i cry for no reason and i always feel bad for things for way too long. i really shouldnt let stuff get to me but i do! maybe its cuz im pregnant?!?



15. i have a spontaneous problem. I get super excited about doing things or getting things right then and there, and then i realize that i dont really like it or want it after the fact. i guess its more of an attention problem...



16. I am having a little girl in May! We are naming her Maeli Rae Rankin! Rae after her great grandma Marvins middle name! Its mine and Mikes first baby and we are so so super excited! we love to lay in bed and feel her kick together. i think Mike is gonna be an amazing dad



17. I love to be lazy! a day when i can lay around all day and do nothing is a great day for me! lol. But on the other hand i do love to feel like i accomplished something sometimes



18. My little brothers and sister make me laugh! i love to be around them because they all do such funny things! its the best!



19. i love to be alone sometimes. Mike is the complete opposite and always wants friends around, but i love to have a quiet night!!



20. I do still love to spend time with friends! I love to visit all the ones in Ogden and also the ones here and at home in Oregon!!! Dinner dates with friends are the best!!! (Zech and Emiley pretty much)



21. Mike is a much better cook than me! i burn everything and find creative ways to make something so simple difficult to make!



22. My first cars name was Frankie. April named it and it has always stuck. Everyone knows that car as Frankie! it just fits her! Now its Bryces car and i kinda miss it!!!



23. I love to have a project to do! I like having a task that takes a while and being left alone to finish it. Its the best feeling in the world to accomplish a large project!



24. I hate to shop! There is nothing that i like about spending money on clothes or groceries or shoes or anything. its such a hard thing for me to do because im scared i wont like it when i get it home!



25. I wish i lived closer to home! when mike is done with school im making him take me closer to my family and we are never moving away again!!!!!!

It's a GIRL!!!

We had our ultrasound today! Other than my bladder ready to pop, it was the most wonderful thing in the world!!! Mike was a sweet heart and waited to pee till i could :) It was painful! But we got to spend a half hour or so watching our little baby girl move around like crazy! The ultrasound tech could hardly get some of the pictures because she was moving so much. We have got one active little girl on our hands! They moved my Due date to June 4th as i guessed they would! I have already been having lots of fun getting the nursery ready for our little Maeli Rae Rankin to come into the world! So take a look at her and let us know who she looks like :)
