Snow Day!!

Mike was super excited to find out that we were expected to get a snow storm this weekend. He told me about it pretty much every day this last week. Sure enough we got about 4 or so inches over the last two days and Mike cant stop looking outside! He woke me up at 5 on Saturday morning just to tell me that it was snowing! It was fun today cuz the snow that was coming down was beautiful!!! We were driving and i was taking pictures of the perfect snowflakes. I never knew that they really did look like snowflakes like in pictures... So today he finally talked me into going out sledding with him. We also made some rice krispy treat and some fudge that turned out delicious!! So it turned out to be a very fun and eventful snow day.

Baby Rankins Heartbeat!!

We had a doctors appointment this morning and we were so excited to get to hear the babys heartbeat! Mike got to be the camera man, and the camera wasnt focusing so you will have to excuse the fuzzy picture, but you can pick out the babys heart easily!!! It has one strong healthy heart! I am now 16 weeks along and the baby is growing great! I also got to schedule my ultrasound where we will find out what sex the baby is! Mike and I are super excited to find out! We have picked out two names, one for a girl and one for a boy! So on the 6th of january we will find out wether we have Maeli Rae Rankin, or Tayson Michael Rankin! We chose Maeli Rae because my Grandma Marvins middle name is Rae and so we wanted to name it after her and of course you can figure out where we got the Michael for Taysons name :) The belly is growing quite well also! I no longer can fit in my regular clothes so that is new and exciting as well!

Its Christmas Time

Thanksgiving was tons of fun with the whole Marvin family staying in our two bedroom apartment! We had a blast with all the kids crashing on our sectional, mom and dad camping on an air mattress, and the already too small kitchen filled with great chefs preparing some yummy food! But our house is once again empty, and we are getting excited for christmas time!

We got to go up to the mountains on sunday with our friends Missy and Brian Kanen! It was a blast trying to hike through the mud to find the perfect christmas tree! It didnt take too long though and we were able to cut down two beautiful pine trees. I was so excited to start decorating for christmas that we had the tree up and decorated in our living room but that night. Its only the second of the month, but i cant wait for christmas to come!!!
